bro, you ought to read more about voting systems. I was a proponent of IRV until I did so. IRV has some extremely undesirable properties. Condorcet-inspired systems like the Schulze method are where it's at.
though that article is long as hell, even for someone with maths like me i want it explained quicker. at least irv is easily explained and it is an improvement to what we have now. better, simpler education needed to make these systems/pros/cons more understandable so they can be implemented by our system, otherwise they come off as intellectual fag theory for polisci queefs.
